Waffles with Blackcurrant Beer


  • 250ml Tanheiser Kraftbeer Blackcurrant
    • 200g cream
    • 200g flour
    • 60g sugar
    • 85g peanut butter
    • 55g butter
    • 2 eggs
    • 2 tbsp. cocoa powder
    • 1 tbsp. corn starch
    • 1 tsp. baking powder
    • 1 tsp. vanilla sugar, salt


  • 150g sugar
    • 250ml Tanheiser Kraftbeer Blackcurrant
    • 250g frozen blackcurrants


Prepare the sauce. Pour frozen blackcurrants in a pot with a thick bottom, add sugar and beer, and simmer for approximately 15 min. Turn off the heat. Prepare the waffle dough. Melt butter and peanut butter together in a water bath. Cool. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, cocoa, starch and pinch of salt in a large bowl. Add the melted butter, beer, cream, and mix everything together. Separate egg yolks from whites. Mix the yolks in the dough. Beat the whites until stiff peaks, and then put it into the dough. Make waffles in a waffle iron. Serve waffles with the blackcurrant sauce.
